BADBADNOTGOOD -10th May @ The Deaf Institute

It was the first time the young Canadian trio had played Manchester and they lived up to the expectations of the full house, at this small and quirky venue.  The band were promoting their new album “III” , which for the first time features their own compositions, rather than covers/adaptations of others, which shows their potential. The band whose previous material has been readily available for all, even encouraged the audience to  ‘obtain’ it, rather than paying for it, as they had paid to see them live. The set also consisted of numbers from their previous releases, and the  mainly student crowd (with a few senior jazz heads) anticipated the dynamics of their constantly moving songs from thunderous terror to sublime tranquillity. This band are defintley worth keeping an eye upon to see how they progress with future releases of their own compositions.
